About Me

 I grew up in Jamestown, New York, a tough, close-knit city in Chautauqua County where family names like Sanfilippo carry real weight from generations back. My great-uncle, Joseph Samuel Sanfilippo (1923–2015), was the legendary football coach everyone still talks about—born right here to Antonino and Antonina Cantali Sanfilippo, he played for Jamestown High in the early '40s, then won championships at Salamanca (developing stars like Chuck Crist and his own son Carl) before coming home to coach Jamestown High in the '70s and early '80s. He built teams on raw discipline, brutal conditioning, fairness (even with his boys on the field), and character that lasted beyond the whistle. Retired after '82, inducted into the Chautauqua Sports Hall of Fame—that legacy of grit, hard work, and quiet pride in roots ran through our extended family and stuck with me, even though I took a different road.

Above all, I'm a Father— it's the truth that anchors everything. My online life stays low-key: a quick "Good times!!" reply to a buddy's Sasquatch photos, anything car related, mostly Chevy and muscle cars  posting about launching my first business website back in 2015, sharing NYSERDA energy audit info when it could help neighbors cut bills. No big show—just real, useful stuff, family first, Jamestown always home.

I started out in civil engineering—Associate's from Jamestown Community College, Bachelor's from Northern Arizona University—then spent nearly two decades at  Zurn Industries, climbing from Sales Engineer to inside sales manager to value stream manager. I learned systems, problem-solving, how to make things work better. But after all that, I felt the pull to change.

 Like Socrates said : "The secret to change is to focus all of your energy... on building the new." 

So I got Building Performance Institute certified, started Sanfilippo Solutions Inc. here in Jamestown/Falconer in 2014. Began as a one-man show; now it's over a dozen of us, upgrading more than 1,900 homes across Western New York and Northwestern Pennsylvania—insulation, air sealing, energy audits, heat pumps, making places warmer, safer, cheaper to run in these brutal winters. We help folks tap NYSERDA EmPower+ for free or discounted work, and the mission's simple: help neighbors stay comfortable and safe in their homes.

I build life through steady action, not noise—pivoting careers for real purpose, growing a business on neighborly service, keeping family at the center. I carry that Sanfilippo thread of quiet determination: effort over flash, roots over chasing elsewhere, progress one practical step at a time in the place that raised me. That's my story—grounded, local, mine.
